Aloha! We hope that all our friends, partners, and non-profit organizations are doing well and staying safe at this time. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and constantly changing mandates and restrictions, this year we will need to modify how we would normally execute Ad Up Hawaii. Unfortunately, due to social distancing concerns and the availability of enough volunteers and competitors, we have decided to skip the advertising competition event. Although we will not be able to provide a full marketing campaign to a winning team this year, we wanted to let you know that another organization, Ad 2 Hawaii, will be selecting one non-profit organization in September to receive a full marketing campaign. We encourage all our non-profit friends to apply as soon as possible – the call for application deadline is on August 31, 2020.


The Ad Up Hawaii committee would like to continue to help and assist as many non-profit organizations as we can, so this year, we plan to do expanded educational workshops that are relevant during this time of need. As soon as we flush out all the details we will provide everyone with updates. These workshops will most likely happen during the Fall and will be done virtually. More details to come.

About AD UP Hawaii

Ad Up Hawaii is an off-shoot of who’s core mission has been bringing people together to support one another. By fostering collaboration, Ad Up was born.

Ad Up identified the biggest challenge that many nonprofits face as the ability to market themselves successfully. At the same time found many in the marketing field with these skills, had a desire to make a difference in the community but just didn’t know how.

By pulling the two groups together in a fun marketing competition-style event both groups could benefit, and the results have been overwhelming.

2019 will mark the 5th annual event. Over the years we have created marketing campaigns for over 20 local nonprofits, with the support of hundreds of marketing professionals.
